Las Vegas Neil Diamond Tribute Show

Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency keeps going strong in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.

Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

In addition to being one of the biggest selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In January 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond announced his retirement from performing after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences throughout the world through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.

Ask Alexa “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll hear the same name.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.

In the spring of 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.

What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.

He began a steady touring schedule, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues that typically host major artists.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating corporate event Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas group booking Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in the year 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
